Short answer: For an office lunch, confirm headcount and dietary needs 48 hours out, order 24 hours ahead, plan about 3 slices or 2 slices plus a sub per person, and budget roughly $15–$20 per person with tax.
You’ve been volunteered to order lunch. Here’s how to make everyone happy without blowing the budget.
The 10-point checklist
- Final headcount, plus 10% if people bring guests.
- Dietary needs: vegetarians, gluten-free, allergies. Ask in one message.
- Budget per person. Pizza catering usually lands around $15–$20 with tax. See real prices.
- Variety. Mix pizza with a sub platter and salad so the non-pizza people eat too.
- Order 24 hours ahead, or 48 for 50+ people.
- Delivery or pickup. Our catering delivery is a flat $15 per trip.
- Arrival time. Ask for food 15 minutes before the meeting starts.
- Setup. Clear a table and grab napkins, plates and a serving spoon for salad.
- Label the boxes, especially gluten-free and vegetarian.
- Leftovers plan. Someone always wants to take a slice home.
Let the builder do it
Type something like “lunch for 25 at our office Wednesday at 12:30, 5 vegetarians, deliver” into our catering builder. It picks the pizzas, sub platters, salad and knots and shows the total with tax.
